1.00 CT Pastel Pyrope Garnet
$250.00
This is NOT your grandmother's garnet (unless you buy it for her, of course!).
This pastel pink garnet is a great example of the fine material currently coming out of East Africa. Several decades ago, most people were only familiar with the very dark red variety of garnets. Now, garnets are available in a whole rainbow of colors. But how long will these mines continue to produce such wonderful gems is anyone's guess.
This gem's pastel pink color (almost mauve in certain light) and brilliance rivals much more expensive gems like sapphire or spinel. It is very clean and contains only a few microscopic needle-like inclusions.
Type: Natural Earth-Mined Pyrope Garnet
Origin: East Africa (assumed Tanzania)
Weight: 1.00 ct
Dimensions (mm): 6.9 x 6.3
Clarity: VVS
Design: Pufferfish (Ramon Tesoro)
Treatments: None
